Over the last few days we’ve talked about the importance of incorporating healthy foods that are high in essential vitamins and minerals into your diet. Today, we’ll go for healthy living beyond food because in order to live the healthiest life possible, there are a few other things you’ll want to consider. This includes:

#1 Getting Enough Sleep

It’s essential that you get enough sleep every day. Over time, chronic sleep deprivation can increase your levels of the stress hormone, cortisol, which will break down collagen. Thus, reducing your skin elasticity and making you look twice your age.

It’ll also take its toll on your mental state and can lead to anxiety, depression, as well as preventing your brain from functioning at its best.

#2 Quit Smoking

#3 Drink Alcohol in Moderation

Excessive alcohol takes its toll on your brain, as well as your liver’s ability to function at its best. #4 Exercise
